GeoSpark Core Database System
This demo overviews and discusses the details of the GeoSpark Core Database System.
The GeoSpark Core Database System is a quality relational database system for managing and using geological exploration and mining data, including both drill hole and surface data.
The GeoSpark Core Database System key features include:
- Requires little to no training.
- Affordable.
- Form and datasheet view options for entering data.
- Data is validated as it is entered.
- Program messages and prompts with proper descriptions.
- Drop down lists with descriptions for reference codes throughout.
- All date items easily selected using calendar selection windows.
- Easy update of password protected reference codes lists.
- View images of lithology intervals.
- Manage and track core and site photos.
- Advanced and easy to use QAQC module with scatter plots, control charts, and Thompson-Howarth charting.
- Strip log with user customization; update your data and then take a look at the drill hole in a graphic log showing graphic display of lithology next to histograms of alteration and mineral intensities as well as analytical results.
- Drill log reports relate all key data items and look great. Excellent for assessment reports.
- Composite tool with multiple element option as well as easy parameter definition by user, optional definition of intervals for composites.
- Printable views of data tables in report format.
- Easy export of data to preferred formats.
- Links directly to third party software for imaging and modelling data. Easy synchronization of individual databases to the master database.
- Ability to have master database housed on the internet, allowing instantaneous updates and automatic review and use of data using GeoSpark Nimbus.
- Completely customizable to suit your program requirements.
The geological database system is suited for data management from start to finish:
- Data is loaded from original source files with the easy to use import functionality.
- Data is entered manually as drill core and samples are logged. Data entry is intuitive and efficient in both form and datasheet views.
- Assay data is loaded directly from source lab certificates using the GeoSpark assay format. All original assay data is maintained and data views show the sample details related to the assays. Best assay columns are available to ensure that the preferred assay result for the sample is used.
- Data is added to the master geological database via automatic synchronization, suited for both appending and merging data. This is a fast and accurate way to transfer the data to the master database. Alternatively, using Geospark Nimbus allows instant update of the master database in the cloud as data is entered.
- Data can also be synchronized from the master database to the individual units for use.
- Master GeoSpark Core database can be linked directly to third party software including GIS and 3D modelling programs for automatic update of maps and models.
- Data is reviewed within master database. Reviewing the data might include the generation of drill logs, graphic logs, using the QAQC utility, etc.
- Data is exported easily from the master database for outside analysis. For example data is exported to excel to perform calculations, etc. that are familiar to management. An updated complete export in the preferred format can be easily generated, ensuring that the master database remains as such.
- Everyone is confident that the data for the project(s) is being properly managed overall and the headaches of data transfer and use have been solved.
Features of GeoSpark Nimbus online cloud database hosting:
- Increase in overall data process efficiency and availability.
- Data is entered in to the GeoSpark Core Database System and automatically populates the master database which is housed securely online.
- Head office can access data as it is entered at the project site.
- Database available for review and use at any location with reasonable internet access.
- Database is extremely secure with strong data encryption and security as the data is transferred to and from the database to the user’s computer.
- Users can work directly online, or work offline and periodically synchronize their data to the cloud.
The GeoSpark Core Database System requires little to no formal training. The use of the program comes naturally to those familiar with geological data. However, we will happily provide training to anyone that requests it, and are available for advising and free consultations. We pride ourselves on being available for our clients and helping out in a timely fashion.
